Who did what, and when
The audit log lists each change with the time, the person who made it, what kind of change it was and the values that changed, for example a holiday cover visit created with its date, time, length and carer.
Opening a client's or staff member's record is logged as well, so you can see who viewed it.
Kept, not deleted
The trail is only ever added to. Care records are archived rather than deleted, and keep their history, so an inspection can see what happened and when.
