Home care rotas, by carer or by client

See the whole week, find the visits that still need a carer, and publish the week to staff when it's ready.

The week at a glance

The week view puts each carer on a row and each day in a column, with every visit in its slot. Visits that still need a carer sit in their own row at the top, so the gaps are the first thing you see.

Switch to By client to see the same week from the other side: each client on a row, with who is coming and when. Narrow the rota to one branch, or search for a carer by name.

Problems show before the week starts

Isabelle checks every visit as you plan. It flags a carer booked while they're away, two visits that overlap, a visit outside someone's available hours, a carer who isn't in the visit's branch, too little travel time between visits, someone over or under their contracted hours, a two-carer visit with only one carer, and a client whose preferred carers aren't on their visit.

Each problem says what is wrong in a sentence, so you can fix it before anyone is on the road.

Publish when you are ready

Changes you make stay in a draft until you publish the week. Staff see the published version, so a half-finished rota never reaches them.

Every publish is kept as a version. You can see which carers a version changed, and go back to an earlier one if a change shouldn't have gone out.

Travel time between visits

The day view lays each carer's visits along the day, with the drive between them in minutes and miles. If a carer can't get from one visit to the next in time, the rota flags it.

You can also count the drive from a carer's home to their first visit of the day in their travel time and mileage.

Questions

Can I see the rota by client?

Yes. Switch between By staff and By client at the top of the rota.

Do staff see changes straight away?

No. Changes stay in a draft until you publish the week, so staff only see a rota you have finished.

Does it show travel time?

Yes. The day view shows the drive between each visit in minutes and miles, and flags a visit a carer can't reach in time.
